Will the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. The timer uses system time calculations, so it remains accurate even when the tab is in the background. However, the alarm sound may be delayed in background tabs on some browsers. Keep the tab visible for immediate alerts.
Can I set multiple timers simultaneously?
Yes. Add multiple timers with different durations and labels. Each timer runs independently. This is useful for cooking (multiple dishes), productivity (task time limits), or managing parallel activities.
What happens when the timer reaches zero?
An alarm sound plays and the display flashes to get your attention. The alarm continues until you dismiss it. You can choose from several alarm sounds in the settings. The browser tab title also updates to show the timer has finished.
Can I use keyboard shortcuts with the timer?
Press Space to start/pause, R to reset, and Enter to set a new time. Number keys quickly set minutes (press 5 for 5:00). These shortcuts make the timer efficient for repeated use during work sessions.
